The MSc-FTM programme is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the FinTech industry while equipping them with essential managerial skills to thrive in this dynamic sector. Recognising that many FinTech companies, such as virtual asset platforms and AI lending firms, rely on data science, law, research, and sustainability professionals, the programme imparts relevant knowledge to help students effectively lead and communicate with their teams. A key focus is nurturing students' critical thinking abilities, enabling them to identify and develop innovative solutions for real-world challenges. The programme also emphasises the importance of ethical and responsible practices in FinTech, with a strong commitment to sustainability and regulatory compliance. Our goal is to cultivate well-rounded professionals who can navigate the complexities of the FinTech landscape and drive sustainable innovation.

Duration of Programme:

Full-time: 1 year (3 Trimesters)

Part-time: 2 years (6 Trimesters)

Commencement: September each year
The total number of credits required for graduation: 30
Total Tuition Fees:

Local students: $150,000 ($5,000 per credit)

Non-local students: $200,000 ($6,666.67 per credit)

Entrance Requirements

 

The applicants must possess:

1. a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Fintech, Management, Psychology, Law, Economics, Business, or other related areas;

2. Fulfilled English proficiency requirements in oral and written English:

I. Overall score 6.0 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (Academic), with no subtest score lower than 5.5;

II. Score 550 (Paper-based test) or 80 (Internet-based test) in TOEFL;

III. CET6 450 or other equivalent qualifications.

*IELTS and TOEFL scores are valid for two years from the test date.

***Applicants with degrees awarded by institutions where English is the medium of instruction and assessment may be granted exemption from the language requirement. ***

1. Completed application form with a recent photo (i.e., approximately 40mm (Width) x 50 mm (Height) showing a full frontal face with clear facial features

2. Copies of identity card or other identification document (ie. passport/ EEP 往來港澳通行證)

3. Photocopies of the Graduation Certificate(s) and/or Degree Certificate(s) of your undergraduate/postgraduate studies

I. For qualifications obtained in Hong Kong or other overseas country A photocopy of the original Graduation Certificate(s) and/or Degree Certificate(s) should be provided

II. For qualifications obtained in Mainland China: The Graduation Certificate AND Degree Certification should be accompanied by the Online Verification Report of Higher Education Qualification Certificate and Online Verification Report of Higher Education Degree Certificate by CHSI 學信網 (教育部學籍線上驗證報告及中國高等教育學位 線上驗證報告)

III. For Mainland Applicants with overseas qualifications The Graduation Certificate and/or Degree Certification should be accompanied by the Overseas Credential Evaluation Report (國外學歷學位認證書) issued by Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) (教育部留學服務中心) (Please ensure that the three reports above remain valid for at least the next six month)

4. Official transcripts from the University attended by applicants* * Official Transcripts must reach the respective divisions directly from the University and referees, or in sealed envelopes and sent by the applicant with other support documents to the Graduate Division.
