香港樹仁大學已展開連串宣傳活動，把金融科技（榮譽）商學士課程被政府納入2021/2022學年的「指定專業/界別課程資助計劃」的訊息，通知全港中六學生、老師和家長。開設該課程的經濟及金融學系表示，由於課程由大學聯合招生辦法（JUPAS）收生，加上擁有「四大核心領域科目」，相信錄取的學生人數會達到「資助計劃」設定的30個名額。

香港樹仁大學新建立的3個實驗室，已於2020年9月啟用。它們會專注大數據、人工智能、虛擬實景（VR）、擴增實景（AR）和機械人技術的應用和研究，以提高教與學的質素，並實現更優質的數碼化生活。

香港樹仁大學獲政府撥款2,200萬元發展網上教學。計劃其中一項是發展一新網上教學平台，不但會綜合目前3個網上教學平台Moodle、Panopto和Zoom的功能，而且會增強仁大的教學科技應用能力，讓教學中加入VR/AR和遊戲元素成為可能。

香港樹仁大學卓越研究教授楊榮基教授出任經濟及金融學系系主任。楊教授是「SRS跨國動態合作博弈高研平台」總監，該高研平台由香港樹仁大學、俄羅斯科學院和聖彼得堡大學聯合組成。楊教授最近接受《樹仁簡訊》記者專訪，談及他對經濟及金融學系未來發展、課程內容和經濟學這門學問的看法。

【舊生訪問】經濟及金融學系2018年畢業生Andyson Wong，現於iFREE GROUP擔任Marketing Manager。Andyson指出在經融系所學習的知識能夠訓練他的邏輯思維和思考技巧，認為利用經濟思維方法去分析日常生活事情十分有趣和有幫助。

Five final-year students were Awardees of the HKSI Institute Scholarship upon submission of an essay. Further, one of them was selected to be the Finalist with top performance in the essay.

仁大將於今年9月開辦金融科技(榮譽)商學士課程。課程以財務、科技、應用數據科學和「經濟—法律—商業」為4大支柱，有別於本地其他院校提供的同類課程。

本學年有36名同學參與工作實習表現優異，包括三名經融系同學，榮獲「香港青年總裁協會優異實習表現獎」獎學金。

現任香港應用技科研究院首席營運總監司徒聖豪博士，憑着在樹仁經濟學系打下的知識基礎，加上個人的努力和不斷進修，終於在職場做出相當不俗的成績。他建議樹仁畢業生進入職場後，要好好學會並掌握兩三種特定技能，形成自己的skills set，這樣對日後的發展會是無往而不利。

香港樹仁大學現正招收12個「研究式」碩士（MPhil）和博士（PhD）學位課程的學生，學科包括中文、英文、歷史學、心理學、社會學和經濟學6個範疇。為鼓勵有意於學術研究的學生報讀，仁大除了向學生發放每月15,000元的補助金外，並設立特別獎學金，學生第一年獲得的最高獎學金為60,000元。

李綺雯博士希望通過舉行一系列研討會、學術培訓班（research clinic）和工作坊，促進本地學者進行人工智慧和智慧城市研究，以及提高他們利用各種人工智慧和泛在計算（ubiquitous computing）工具進行科研的能力。

經濟及金融學系助理教授袁偉基博士負責的「電子商務企業、金融科技和金融監管的最新發展」項目，將針對電子商務企業（Digital Entrepreneurship）、金融科技（FinTech）和金融監管（FinReg）3個領域，舉辦研討會和國際會議，讓樹仁大學和其他專上院校的師生，有機會與國際的專家學者，學習和交流這方面的知識。

Mak Cho Kei (Year 4) was awarded the Regional Winner in the Economics category of The Undergraduate Awards (often referred to as a “Junior Nobel Prize”).
