To keep abreast of the latest development of financial technology, the Department of Economics and Finance organized a visit to Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute Company Limited (ASTRI) in November 2021. There were solution presentation and demonstration on alternative credit scoring, AI chatbot leveraging deep learning, big data analytics, speech recognition with natural language processing, optical character recognition and cold food import safety management (CFISM) platform. Colleagues and students took this valuable opportunity to exchange ideas with ASTRI engineers.
