Biography

Prof. Michael Wu Chun Wah, is the chairman and responsible officer of Creative Asset Management Ltd. licensed to carry out type 4 (advising on securities) and type 9 (asset management) regulated activities under the Securities and Futures. Prior to his present employment, Prof. Wu was the CEO of China Chengtong Asset Management (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. which is directly wholly-owned by China Chengtong Holdings Group Ltd., a central enterprise supervised by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.
 
Prof. Wu has extensive experience in financial investment and capital market. He was the executive director and chief executive officer of Creative Energy Solutions Holdings Ltd, (now known as Kirin Group Holdings Limited) a company whose shares were listed on the Growth Enterprise Market of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the “Stock Exchange”) and the executive director of Incutech Investments Ltd (now known as DT Capital Limited), a company whose shares were listed on the Stock Exchange. He was also appointed as independent non-executive director for several listed companies in Hong Kong. Apart from capital market, Prof. Wu was senior executive of various international investment banks including BNP Paribas Peregrine Capital Ltd., American Express Bank Ltd., CCIC Finance Ltd.; etc.
 
Prof. Wu holds a doctor degree in business administration (Best Thesis Award) and a master degree in corporate governance (Distinction) from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He also holds a master degree in business administration from Northeast Louisiana University, a diploma of Business Administration from the Hong Kong Shue Yan College, a diploma of China trade and investment from the Peking University, a diploma of China laws from the Guangdong Economic Laws Research Centre and a postgraduate diploma in management from the Asia International Open University. He is a fellow member of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute, associate member of the Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute and the Chartered Governance Institute.
 
Prof. Wu Prof. Wu dedicates to education. He is appointed as adjunct professor of City University of Hong Kong and was engaged by various universities and tertiary education institutions as visiting lecturer including the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, the Hong Kong Shue Yan University, the Hong Kong Baptist University, the Hong Kong Management Association and the Chu Hai College in fin-tech, corporate governance, finance, business strategy and banking subjects. Prof. Wu is the member of Advisory Board of the Research Institute for Business and research follow of the ESG Centre of the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong. He is appointed as member of Board of Governors and member of Advisory Board of Department of Economics and Finance of the Hong Kong Shue Yan University. He is also the school supervisor of Sha Tin Wai Dr. Catherine F. Woo Memorial School and school manager of Dr. Catherine F. Woo Memorial School.
 
Prof. Wu is active in community services. He is currently the chairman of Suen Mei Hearing Charity Fund Ltd, the member of Fundraising and Social Enterprise Committee of the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation and the vice-chairman of the PolyU DBA Alumni Association Ltd.
