Dr Chen Siming, under the supervision of Prof Rita Li (primary supervisor, Director of Master of Science in FinTech Management) and Dr Edward Tang (co‑supervisor), has completed his PhD as the first doctoral graduate of the Department of Economics and Finance. His thesis, ‘Modelling Housing Market Dynamics Through Social Media: Mixed Artificial Intelligence and Spatial Approaches’, marks a significant milestone in the department’s scholarly advancement. He will assume a lectureship at Anhui Xinhua University under the Top‑notch Talents Recruitment Scheme. Congratulations!
