Our Fintech students, Fung Chun Hei and Yin Zeng Xin, successfully gained entry into the student ambassador program. This enrollment was made through a highly competitive process, with over 800 applications from all tertiary institutions across Hong Kong. Throughout the program, they received comprehensive training to enhance their IT skills and knowledge, with the aim of sharing their learning with fellow schoolmates. They successfully organized several on-campus workshops, which significantly contributed to improving students' IT knowledge and digital competence.

Dr. Philip Lee, the Programme Director of the FinTech programme and Associate Head of the Department of Economics and Finance, was delighted to see our students excel in the fierce competition and secure a place in the program. The activities organized by the students on our campus aimed to foster digital competence among their peers, aligning with initiatives launched by the Resource Centre for Digital Competence Education at HKSYU, where Dr. Lee plays a key role.

As a mentor to the students throughout their journey in the Microsoft Student Ambassador Program, Dr. Lee expressed his fulfillment in witnessing their growth and dedication come to fruition. Looking ahead, Dr. Lee highlighted HKSYU's commitment to collaborating with leading industry stakeholders to continue preparing our students for the challenges posed by AI and emerging technologies.
